Role Overview

We are actively expanding our US market leadership and seeking a high-performing, hands-on Client Partner to own, build, and scale our Insurance Vertical (Property & Casualty, Life & Annuities, Commercial Insurance, and Specialty Lines).

The Role

As the Client Partner - Insurance, you will serve as the primary commercial and strategic leader for Indicium’s Insurance practice in North America. You will own market strategy, new logo acquisition, account expansion, and executive-level advisory for major carriers, brokers, and insurtechs.

This is not a top-heavy, delegating management role. We are looking for an agile "player-coach" who can navigate C-suite relationships (CROs, COOs, Chief Underwriting Officers, CTOs), understand the regulatory realities of insurance workflows, and confidently whiteboard agentic AI architectures and data modernization strategies alongside our delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Revenue Generation & Account Ownership

• Own the P&L, revenue growth, and gross margin health for the Insurance vertical in the US.

• Partner with our Business Development team to hunt, pitch, and close high-value MSAs and Statements of Work (SOWs) with Tier-1 and mid-market insurance carriers.

• Drive a "land-and-expand" strategy: start with high-impact, low-risk agentic deployments (e.g., policy intake, claims triage, research automation) and expand into core backend data modernizations.

2. Domain Strategy & Value Engineering

• Position Indicium’s modern AI stack (Anthropic Claude, LangGraph, Databricks, dbt, Snowflake) specifically against high-cost insurance operational bottlenecks: Claims Processing, Underwriting Automation, Subrogation, KYC/Fraud Detection, and Agent/Broker Enablement.

• Guide insurance executives through risk governance-helping them balance autonomous AI execution with strict "Human-in-the-Loop" (HITL) compliance and regulatory oversight.

3. Client Leadership & Partner Ecosystem Alignment

• Serve as the executive escalation point and trusted advisor across all active Insurance accounts, maintaining strong client hygiene and satisfaction.

• Leverage and cultivate strategic co-sell relationships with key ecosystem partners, including Anthropic, Databricks, AWS, and Azure, to drive warm referrals and joint go-to-market opportunities.

4. Lean Commercial & Delivery Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with our global delivery squads (US, UK, and LATAM) to ensure accurate solution scoping, realistic project timing (our standard discovery-to-production cadence is 12-13 weeks), and profitable onshore/offshore blend ratios.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Insurance Domain Expertise: 8+ years of experience selling and delivering high-value consulting/technology services specifically within the Insurance industry (P&C, Life & Annuities, Reinsurance, or Commercial Lines).

• Commercial Track Record: Proven experience carrying and exceeding a $5M-$10M+ annual revenue quota with direct P&L accountability, contract negotiation (MSAs/SOWs), and pipeline forecasting.

• Fluent in Modern AI & Data: Strong conversational and architectural grasp of Generative AI, Agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, Multi-Agent Orchestration), and modern cloud data stacks (Databricks, Snowflake). Must be able to explain the business value, risk guardrails, and orchestration layer mechanics to technical and non-technical insurance leaders.

• Startup / Lean Growth Mindset: Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You are willing to write deck content, shape proposals, and map client stakeholders directly without needing a massive back-office army.

• Ecosystem Experience: Existing relationships or co-selling familiarity with major cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure), Databricks, or AI platforms (Anthropic/OpenAI) is strongly preferred.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $230,000 - $350,000. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. An individual's final salary offer will be determined based on a variety of factors, including geographic location, experience, specialized skills, and qualifications.
