Cloud Presales Engineer - Microsoft Technologies

Infinitum is looking for a Cloud Presales Engineer to join and strengthen our Presales team, with a primary focus on Microsoft technologies as well as cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions.

This role combines understanding customer requirements, designing technical solutions, and preparing proposals in collaboration with the Sales, Engineering, and partner technology teams. It is aimed at professionals with relevant technical experience who wish to grow in technical presales and solution design.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Engagement: Participate in client meetings to gather requirements, assess existing infrastructure, and identify opportunities to leverage cloud technologies.

• Solution Architecture & Presentation: Design and present cloud and hybrid solution proposals, with an emphasis on the Microsoft ecosystem, supported by specialized engineers when required.

• Proposal & RFP Preparation: Prepare technical and financial proposals, high-level designs (HLDs), and responses to RFPs/RFIs.

• Scope & Effort Estimation: Collaborate with technical teams to define project scope, deliverables, assumptions, and estimated implementation effort.

• Vendor & Distributor Management: Work closely with vendors and distributors for solution selection, sizing, pricing, and clarifications regarding licensing and subscriptions.

• Demos & Proofs of Concept: Participate in presentations, product demos, and PoC design in coordination with the relevant teams.

• Microsoft Partner Programs Support: Support activities related to our Microsoft partnership (e.g., funding opportunities, partner programs, designations, and specializations) in coordination with internal leads.

• Documentation & Handover: Develop and maintain reusable proposal materials and ensure smooth handover of agreed scope and requirements to the implementation team.

Requirements

• Experience: Indicatively 3-5 years of relevant experience in technical presales, cloud/infrastructure engineering, technical consulting, or a similar role.

• Microsoft Expertise: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Microsoft 365, with a desire to further expand knowledge across the Microsoft ecosystem.

• Technical Foundations: Strong understanding of core cloud and infrastructure concepts, including compute, storage, networking, identity, security, backup, and availability.

• Solution Design: Ability to understand business needs and translate them into clear, structured technical proposals.

• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English, as well as confidence when interacting with customers and partners.

• Organization: Well-organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple opportunities and deadlines concurrently.

• Mindset: A continuous learning mindset, eagerness to earn certifications, and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

• Prior experience at a system integrator, cloud provider, or managed services provider (MSP).

• Involvement in drafting technical bids, leading customer workshops, or delivering migration and modernization projects.

• Familiarity with Microsoft licensing, cloud subscriptions, or cost-estimation tools (e.g., Azure Calculator).

• Knowledge of Microsoft partner programs, funding mechanisms, or Microsoft Partner Center.

• Relevant Microsoft certifications or certifications in other cloud technologies.

Note: Deep expertise across all of the above fields is not required. We are seeking a professional with a solid technical foundation, strong communication skills, and the drive to gradually build autonomy in cloud presales.
