About the role

Leadership: The Practice Lead for this role is Bruce Anderson. Bruce is based in Brisbane and is the Delivery Lead for our AI Apps & Data practice. As a member of our AI Apps & Data team, you'll join a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and knowledge sharing. As a Solutions Specialist, you'll act as a sales-focused technology specialist and trusted advisor to clients, with an emphasis on pre-sales rather than delivery. Responsibilities will include:

• Lead in-depth client discovery to gather and analyse Data & AI requirements.
• Develop and present innovative Data & AI solutions using Microsoft data platforms, OpenAI, Microsoft Fabric, and related services to Senior Executives.
• Create detailed architecture diagrams and solution designs using Draw.io and other visualization tools.
• Write comprehensive proposals covering technical specifications, project plans, and cost estimates.
• Prepare high-quality internal and client documentation and presentations
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations and proofs of concept to showcase proposed solutions’ value.
• Work with technical teams to ensure smooth presales-to-implementation handovers.
• Provide Data & AI thought leadership and innovation insights to internal teams and clients.
• Identify and resolve project issues with our clients

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of experience in a presales or consulting role, with a focus on Data & AI solutions
• Proven experience working with Microsoft Data platforms, including Azure Data Services, Power BI, Azure OpenAI and Microsoft Fabric,
• Broad conceptual knowledge of Data & AI trends, terminology, and conceptual architectures,
• Exceptional English language communication skills, both written and verbal,
• Proficiency in tools such as Draw.Io, PowerPoint, MS Project, markdown, Word, and Excel,
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail,
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment where trust is given for you to deliver and be held accountable to timelines,
• Ability to effectively communicate through presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
