NetApp Accredited Hardware Support Engineer (NAHSE)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced NetApp Accredited Hardware Support Engineer (NAHSE) to provide remote hardware-focused support for enterprise NetApp storage infrastructure. This contractor will be responsible for diagnosing hardware-related issues, supporting break/fix activities, coordinating hardware replacements, and ensuring high availability across storage environments.
The ideal candidate will possess strong hardware troubleshooting expertise, excellent communication skills, and experience supporting enterprise-class storage systems.
Required Certification
- Active NAHSE (NetApp Accredited Hardware Support Engineer) certification required
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve NetApp storage hardware issues across enterprise environments
- Support hardware troubleshooting, maintenance, replacement coordination, and break/fix activities
- Analyze logs, alerts, and system diagnostics to identify root causes
- Coordinate with vendors, field engineers, and infrastructure teams for issue resolution
- Support storage upgrades, hardware refreshes, and deployment activities
- Document incidents, resolutions, and support procedures
- Assist with system health monitoring and preventative maintenance efforts
- Participate in on-call support rotations and escalations as needed
- Ensure adherence to SLA requirements and operational best practices
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of enterprise storage hardware support experience
- Strong understanding of NetApp storage hardware platforms and components
- Experience troubleshooting controllers, disk shelves, cabling, and connectivity issues
- Familiarity with ONTAP environments and storage infrastructure concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote support environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional NetApp certifications preferred
- Experience working within enterprise data center environments
- Experience supporting mission-critical production systems
- Familiarity with ticketing and monitoring tools such as ServiceNow or similar platforms
