Role Summary
The Manufacturing Quality & Reliability Engineer drives product quality, manufacturing readiness, reliability assurance, and continuous improvement across semiconductor manufacturing operations. The role partners with development, engineering, operations, and customers to ensure robust product quality, successful new product introductions (NPI), and data-driven manufacturing excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Manufacturing Excellence
- Lead manufacturing quality issue containment, investigation, and corrective actions.
- Drive risk assessment, excursion management, and disposition of non-conforming materials.
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
- Improve manufacturing quality, yield, reliability, and process capability.
New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Support technology transfer from development to high-volume manufacturing.
- Drive manufacturing readiness reviews and quality gate assessments.
- Establish control plans, quality monitoring systems, and production controls.
Reliability & Data Analytics
- Support reliability qualification and product risk assessments.
- Apply statistical methods, SPC, DOE, and data analytics to identify quality risks and trends.
- Develop dashboards and metrics to support data-driven decision making.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Drive CAPA effectiveness and standardisation of best practices.
- Support operational excellence through quality-focused improvements.
Customer & Cross-Functional Engagement
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, development, and quality teams.
- Lead structured problem-solving activities using 8D and Root Cause Analysis.
- Address customer quality concerns and drive sustainable solutions.
Semiconductor Test Quality (Preferred)
Experience with semiconductor test environments and platforms such as: Advantest V93K/Teradyne Test Systems/HPB-8/AMPS/ Chroma 3200
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Microelectronics Engineering, or related discipline.
- Min > 6 years of Experience in Quality Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product or Process Engineering
- Knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, Cp/Cpk, Control Plans, CAPA, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, JMP, SQL, or data analytics tools is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and project management capabilities.
