Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures that accurate and timely accounts are completed in accordance with Donor and company’ s financial policies and procedures.
• Ensures safe custody of an adequate amount of petty cash float, to be issued in accordance with company’ s policies and procedures.
• Assembles documents for data input in the accounting system, verifying project numbers/codes, resource numbers and total costs.
• Reviews payment requests for accuracy, completeness, compliance, level of authorization and clarity on the invoices;
• Supports the finance team working on different financial transactions or different projects.
• Ensures transactions of different projects are properly recorded, posted, coded and entered into the financial accounting system on timely basis as per the finance policy of the Association.
• Prepares payment vouchers, journal entries and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
• Prepare and facilitate payroll preparation process and all related payments.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized university
• Minimum of 3 years proven experience in accounting, preferably in the real estate or construction sector
• Strong understanding of Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations
• Proficient in Peachtree Accounting Software (Sage)
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
