Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS / IFRS for SMEs.
- Completed articles (SAICA / SAIPA preferred).
- Must have Xero & Pastel experience.
Month-End Close Process:
- Prepare and post all month-end journals (accruals, prepayments, depreciation, payroll, financing charges).
- Ensure all transactions for the month are completely and accurately recorded.
- Review trial balance for completeness and accuracy.
- Process monthly payroll for clients.
- Prepare VAT for client review.
- Prepare monthly accounts pack (income statement/balance sheet/tax provisions).
- UIF and ROE submissions (beneficial) .
- Bank accounts.
- Trade receivables and payables.
- VAT reconciliations.
- Maintain fixed assets (depreciation, additions, disposals).
- Payroll accounts (PAYE, UIF, SDL).
- Tax computations.
- Reconcile intercompany loan accounts.
- Prepare amortisation schedules for financed assets and lease liabilities.
- Reconcile and submit bi-annual and annual EMP501.
- Attend to preparation for SARS verifications (Income tax, PAYE, VAT & Provisional tax).
- Handle SARS submissions (VAT201, EMP201).
- Xero & Pastel (is a must)
