Accountant, Wellington

Duties:

• Manage day-to-day accounting and financial administration
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Prepare invoices, payments, journals, and financial records
• Manage debtors and creditors
• Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Maintain accurate general ledger records
• Assist with VAT and statutory submissions
• Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation
• Ensure accurate processing and allocation of financial transactions
• Assist with budgeting and cash-flow monitoring
• Maintain records using Sage Pastel and Xero
• Provide financial information and support to management when required

Requirements:

• SAIPA or SAICA qualification/affiliation
• Proven experience in an accounting role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures
• Proficiency in Sage Pastel and Xero
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience with financial reporting and bank reconciliations

Familiarity with the following:

• Sage Pastel
• Xero
• Microsoft Excel
