The main purpose of the role:

The successful candidate will secure new business opportunities aligned with the organisation’s preferred client profile and achieve the GP targets set out in the sales contracts.

Responsibilities:

Sales Pipeline and Business Development

  • Manage and develop a sustainable sales pipeline.
  • Identify, onboard and implement new business opportunities effectively.
  • CRM, Planning and Activity Management
  • Manage all opportunities, accounts and productivity within Dynamics, the prescribed CRM system.
  • Maintain an effective diary to support consistent customer engagement and sales activity.
Customer Relationships and Consultative Selling
  • Build strategic relationships at multiple levels within the client base.
  • Apply a consultative selling approach to strengthen the business's supply chain position with customers.
Targets and Performance Management
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Meet weekly and monthly call targets.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Minimum of 5 years' sales experience in a freight forwarding, supply chain or logistics environment, with a good understanding
  • of Air, ocean, and Road transportation, forwarding, and Customs Clearance.
  • Proven track record in new business sales
  • Valid Driving Licence and Own Vehicle
