Cyber Detection Engineer | Digital Threat Hunter

Key Responsibilities:

• Hunt down threats before they become incidents
• Build and fine-tune detection rules that catch attackers in the act
• Investigate suspicious activity across cloud, networks, endpoints, and applications
• Improve security monitoring, response processes, and defensive capabilities
• Analyse logs and telemetry to uncover hidden risks
• Partner with security and engineering teams to strengthen the organisation's cybersecurity posture

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Experience in Detection Engineering, SOC, Threat Hunting, or Cyber Security Operations
• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, or Elastic
• Knowledge of attack techniques, adversary behaviour, and MITRE ATT&CK
• Experience investigating security incidents and analysing security events
• Scripting or automation skills with Python, PowerShell, or similar
• Understanding of cloud security across Azure, AWS, or GCP environments
