Electrical & Instrumentation Site Supervisor

Primary Function - Site Supervision, Safety & Contractor Management

• Provide construction management supervision of installation contractors throughout the construction phase to ensure compliance with client requirements.
• Ensure strict adherence by contractors to mandatory safety processes, statutory regulations, and lock-out procedures across all execution works.
• Liaise and coordinate construction activities, addressing and resolving technical queries arising from drawings or specifications.
• Monitor and report contractor performance, program milestones, and contractual obligations, implementing corrective actions when key dates are compromised.
• Attend weekly construction progress meetings with contractors, project multidisciplinary teams, and the client.

• Review and approve contractor Quality Assurance Plans; inspect completed installation modules and sign off on contractor QA documentation.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and snag lists where necessary, verifying sign-offs upon completion.
• Administer Site Variation Requests (SVRs) and Variation Orders (VOs) in accordance with client procedures.
• Assist in site measurements, monthly progress claims, and contractor claims for additional work.
• Coordinate handovers between contractors and the commissioning team, assisting with commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).

• Coordinate deliveries of free-issue materials, oversee offloading, and enforce inspection, receiving, and storage controls.
• Verify that contractors maintain rigorous inventory controls and records for all issued materials.
• Ensure accurate redline drawings are compiled on-site and transferred to the drawing office for final as-built updates.
• Collate, sign off, and deliver all construction QA data packs to project engineers and the client.

What you’ll need

• Technical qualification (Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline; Project Management Diploma is an advantage).
• Minimum of 10+ years’ proven track record in E&I site supervision and construction management.
• Proven track record working for EPCM consultants on major projects within the mining industry.
• Strong working understanding of electrical MV/LV reticulation, switchgear, cabling, and industrial instrumentation systems.
• Strong organizational, planning, and leadership capabilities; excellent communication and dispute-resolution skills; high precision and attention to detail; and the ability to work independently to manage competing priorities on-site.
• Valid license and own vehicle.
• No criminal record
• Medically fit to pass site medicals
