A leading supplier of industrial valves, instrumentation and process solutions is looking for a driven Sales Engineer to grow business across the Durban region.

This role is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys being on the road, building customer relationships, developing new business and working with technical products.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

  • Mechanical or other relevant technical qualification advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of valves advantageous
  • Proven sales experience, preferably within a technical environment
  • Strong self-starter with a go-getter attitude
  • Own reliable transport and willingness to travel - essential
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable with external sales and cold calling

Job Experience & Skills Required

  • Manage and grow an existing customer base
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities
  • Plan and conduct customer visits and sales calls
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations
  • Deliver sales presentations
  • Develop market penetration strategies
  • Build strong knowledge of the company's technical product range
  • Achieve sales budgets and targets
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and service levels
