Financial Accountant

• BComm Degree
• 5 years’ relevant accounting experience
• 2 years’ experience in a senior or supervisory capacity
• SAIPA or SAICA Articles advantageous
• Strong understanding of financial accounting and reporting
• Good working knowledge of accounting principles, controls and reconciliations
• Strong Excel and accounting systems proficiency

• Manage and maintain the financial accounting function
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Perform reconciliations, journals and general ledger reviews
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Analyse financial information and investigate variances
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
• Assist with audit processes and statutory requirements
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure accuracy of financial information
• Provide financial insights and support to management
• Supervise and support junior accounting staff where required

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Leadership and supervisory capability
• Commercial awareness and sound financial judgement
