Group Accountant

Job Description:

Group Reporting & Management Accounts

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts
• Support group reporting processes, including consolidation inputs and variance analysis
• Ensure accurate reconciliations and timely reporting across multiple entities
• Investigate and explain key financial movements and business performance trends

• Oversee payment processes to ensure accuracy, governance, and compliance
• Monitor and report on cash flow positions across the group
• Identify potential cash flow risks and funding requirements
• Maintain and strengthen financial controls and approval processes

• Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Consolidate financial information and evaluate budget submissions
• Perform variance analysis and provide insights into business performance
• Support scenario planning and cash flow forecasting initiatives

• Prepare financial reports, presentations, and board packs
• Translate complex financial information into meaningful commercial insights
• Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis and reporting
• Assist with ad hoc projects and executive-level reporting requirements

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years' post-articles experience
• Experience within audit, group finance, head office finance, commercial finance, or multi-entity environments
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and reporting skills
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis capabilities
• Exposure to management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and group reporting
• Ability to present financial information clearly to senior stakeholders
• Commercially minded with a strong analytical and problem-solving approach
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven

Qualification:

• CA(SA) - non-negotiable
