Cost Accountant

Job Description:

This position involves:

• Maintaining and improving standard costing structures for materials, labour and overheads
• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings and ERP master data
• Preparing monthly cost reports, variance analysis and gross margin reporting
• Analysing manufacturing variances including material usage, scrap, rework and labour recovery.
• Managing inventory valuation, stock reconciliations, cycle counts and WIP reporting
• Supporting month-end processes, accruals, provisions and manufacturing journals
• Partnering with operational teams on product costing, pricing and make-versus-buy decisions
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cost improvement initiatives
• Assisting with internal and external audits and strengthen costing controls

• 5 years' Cost Accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong experience with BOM Management, ERP Systems, Inventory & Stock Control

• CIMA qualified
