Group Tax and Financial Accountant

Job Description:

Tax & Transfer Pricing

• Prepare, review, and maintain transfer pricing documentation in line with international tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to applicable tax legislation across the group.
• Provide support and guidance on tax-related matters affecting various business entities.

• Review and analyse management accounts across multiple entities within the group
• Prepare and consolidate monthly management reports and financial information
• Compile and review group consolidated financial results
• Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
• Ensure consistency and compliance in financial reporting practices across the group, both locally and internationally

• Coordinate year-end audit processes and liaise with auditors to ensure timely completion of audits
• Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations, and audit documentation
• Provide technical accounting support on complex transactions and financial reporting matters

• Review and reconcile intercompany transactions, balances, and loan accounts
• Maintain and update group cash flow forecasts
• Produce meaningful management reports and financial insights to support decision-making
• Prepare reporting packs for executive management and key stakeholders
• Draft reports and presentations for board and governance committee meetings
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic business initiatives

• 2-3 years' experience within the automotive or dealership industry
• Previous experience in a franchised motor dealership finance environment
• Strong understanding of floorplan financing and stock control management
• Practical VAT knowledge relating to vehicle sales, trade-ins, parts, and aftersales operations
• Experience preparing accounts up to trial balance
• Completed SAICA, SAIPA, or equivalent articles
• Manufacturing finance experience
• Experience within a multi-dealership or group environment

• CA(SA) qualification
