Key Responsibilities:
- General housekeeping and maintaining a clean, neat and well-organised home.
- Assisting with basic household duties and daily errands where required.
- Basic understanding of meal preparation, including preparing simple breakfasts, eggs, toast, sandwiches and making coffee/tea.
- Caring for and attending to horses, including feeding, grooming and general stable duties.
- Caring for the household’s dogs and ensuring all animals are properly attended to.
- Remaining on the property and caring for the home and animals when the employer is travelling.
- Every second weekend will involve additional responsibility for the horses and animals.
- Maintaining a high level of discretion, reliability and professionalism at all times.
- Previous experience in a private household, housekeeping, butler or similar role.
- Proven and practical experience handling and grooming horses is essential.
- Comfortable working around multiple dogs and other animals.
- Reliable, trustworthy and able to work independently.
- Willing and able to live on the property and assist when the employer is away.
- Valid South African work permit / legal working documentation required.
- A valid driver's licence would be advantageous.
- Salary: R6,000 - R10,000 per month, depending on experience.
- Comfortable private cottage accommodation with Wi-Fi provided.
- Live-in position.
