Junior Document Controller

What Will You Be Doing?

• Receive, register, issue and distribute engineering and project documentation
• Maintain accurate document and drawing registers
• Assist with drawing and document revision control
• Prepare and process document transmittals
• Upload, file and retrieve documentation using electronic document management systems
• Assist with vendor and supplier documentation
• Follow up on outstanding documents and information
• Help maintain accurate and organised project records
• Assist with as-built, handover and project close-out documentation
• Provide document control and administrative support to engineering and project teams

What Are We Looking For?

Ideally, you will have:

• Approximately 1-3 years’ general working experience, with some exposure to document control, project administration, technical administration or engineering administration
• An understanding of the importance of document numbering, filing, revision control and accurate record keeping
• Exposure to documents such as drawings, registers, transmittals, technical documentation or project correspondence
• Good Microsoft Office skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational and administrative ability
• The discipline to follow established procedures and systems
• A willingness to learn and develop within a structured engineering project environment

Exposure That Would Be Advantageous

• Aconex, SharePoint, SAP DMS or another electronic document management system
• Engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Document registers and transmittals
• Engineering, EPCM, construction, mining or industrial projects
• ISO 9001 or formal quality/document control procedures
