Machine Operator

Rate: R38.58 p/h

Key Responsibilities

• Scan pallet labels at pick-up points
• Transport and store pallets in designated rack locations
• Scan rack locations to confirm accurate placement
• Ensure all movements are correctly recorded via RF (Radio Frequency) system
• Support receiving operations by transporting pallets from receiving areas

• Follow instructions via RF scanner/reader
• Retrieve pallets from storage locations
• Deliver stock to designated picking bays
• Scan pallet and bay locations to confirm accurate placement
• Ensure pre-release orders are delivered to picking areas timeously
• Complete all line building instructions accurately

• Work closely with control room and supervisors to ensure stock availability
• Ensure all tasks are completed and recorded according to operational requirements
• Maintain accuracy and efficiency in all stock movements

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum Grade 10

• Proven experience operating MHE equipment (reach truck, forklift, order picker)
• Valid MHE/Forklift licence (essential)
• Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work with RF scanning systems
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with a responsible and safety-conscious attitude

Physical Requirements

• Physically fit and able to work long hours
• Comfortable working at heights (for reach truck/order picker operations)
• Good eyesight and coordination
