Project Engineer

Our client is a respected engineering and automation solutions provider delivering cutting-edge technologies that enable operational efficiency, asset automation, and industrial digital transformation. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing automation solutions, supporting project delivery, performing onsite commissioning activities, developing technical documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams. This role offers excellent exposure to PLC, SCADA, IIoT, and industrial control systems within a fast-paced project environment.

Education & Skills:

• NQF Level 8 or higher in Electrical, Electronic, Control Systems, or Computer Science Engineering.
• OEM certifications in automation platforms (e.g., Siemens, AVEVA, Schneider Electric, Rockwell, Adroit, and Mitsubishi) advantageous.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• PLC programming experience.
• SCADA development and programming experience.
• Strong technical report writing and documentation skills.
• Experience with onsite commissioning and project implementation.
• Exposure to Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies and systems integration.
• Knowledge of project management tools such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
• Understanding of procurement, risk management, and health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Strong problem-solving, planning, and scheduling abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• 2 to 6 years' experience in Automation System Projects.
• Proven experience in industrial automation and control systems.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within project teams.
