Security Architect

• Minimum of 10+ years overall IT industry experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years in a security architecture, design, or engineering roles involving security using service and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Focused on secure deployment and integration across hybrid/multi-cloud environments, network security, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS controls, and cloud governance.
• Application security: Focused on secure software architecture, threat modelling, DevSecOps, API and identity design, and integration with CI/CD toolchains.
• Data, AI & Tokenization: focusing on data classification, privacy-enhancing technologies, encryption/tokenization, AI governance, and secure data pipeline design.
• Provides strategic and technical guidance across domains to align security architecture with business objectives.
• Focus areas include enterprise security design, zero trust principles, risk-based decision making, and integration of security into digital transformation initiatives.
• Hands on exposure to one or more of: AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, IAM, CI/CD, API gateways, SIEM/SOAR, technologies or data security technologies.
• Strong understanding of security principles, design patterns and strategies.
• Working knowledge of relevant security standards and frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO27001, SOC2, CSA CCM).
• Professional certifications are beneficial (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, CISSM, Azure/AWS Architect)

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12
• Bachelors Degree (3 years - 360 credits)-Information Technology or related field
• Post Graduate Studies-Information Technology or related fields
• Certification- TOGAF
