Senior Accountant

Company and Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the full finance function.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements.
• Perform and review balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Oversee cash flow management and forecasting.
• Prepare budgets and monitor financial performance against targets.
• Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate and manage audit processes.
• Supervise and mentor one finance team member.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
• Provide financial insights and support to management.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

• BCom Accounting Degree qualification.
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles will be advantageous.

Experience:

• 3-5 years' experience as an Accountant or Senior Accountant.
• Previous experience within the diesel, automotive, engineering, manufacturing, or related industry.
• Proven experience managing the full finance function.
• Experience supervising or mentoring a finance team member.
