Senior Accountant

• Take ownership of the full accounting function and ensure financial accuracy across all processes.
• Manage and process payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Maintain the General Ledger and oversee month-end processes.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and statutory requirements.
• Review financial data and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making.
• Support leadership with ad hoc financial reporting and analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement within finance processes and controls.

• BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification is required.
• 5 - 8 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Articles are advantageous but not required.
• Manufacturing industry exposure will be beneficial but is not essential.
• Strong experience with Pastel and/or Sage Payroll is essential.
• Payroll experience is non-negotiable.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Resilient personality with a professional approach to pressure and deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Self-starter with a proven track record of thriving in a remote working environment.
