Senior Accountant

Our client, a reputable firm known for its professional work environment and commitment to excellence, is seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to support their expanding finance team. The ideal person will be someone who just finished their Clerkship and preferably already have their BCom Accounting Degree.

Job Title: Snr. Accountant

Area: George or Mosselbaai

Salary: R20,000 - R30,000 per month (depending on experience)

Position Type: Full time

Duties:

• Compile financial statements and perform independent review processes

• Process invoices and bank transactions efficiently

• Reconcile bank accounts, debtors, and creditors

• Prepare and reconcile general ledger entries

• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations

• Prepare year-to-date VAT reconciliations and manage VAT201 returns

• Handle SARS VAT reviews and audits

• Provide accounting and clerical support to the department

• Prepare management accounts to support business decisions

Requirements:

• Grade 12 qualification with experience in financial statement compilation

• Clerkship completed (non- negotiable)

• Bcom Accounting Degree (preferred)

• Not less than 3 years working experience

• Excellent computer literacy skills

• Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans

• Previous experience working on Draftworx would be beneficial.

• Previous experience working on Sage Online, Sage Pastel and Xero (beneficial).
