Technical Sales Engineer

Education:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in mechanical or project-based technical sales
• Proven experience in selling engineering projects, systems, or capital equipment
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication, or industrial projects
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Demonstrated success in managing long sales cycles and closing high-value deals
• Excellent client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
• Commercially driven with strong negotiation and presentation abilities
• Experience working with clients in mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and secure new project opportunities within the mechanical engineering space
• Develop customized technical and commercial proposals for clients
• Manage the full project sales cycle from lead generation to contract award
• Liaise with internal engineering and project teams to ensure solution feasibility
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
• Conduct site visits, client meetings, and technical presentations
• Monitor project progress and ensure successful delivery aligned to client expectations
• Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
