As Data Governance & Analytics Manager, you will establish the standards and structures that make enterprise data accurate, consistent, trusted, and actionable.
You will lead data governance initiatives spanning ERP, CRM, finance, manufacturing, supply chain, and operational systems.
The role serves as a critical bridge between business stakeholders, technology teams, and external implementation partners.
You will define enterprise data standards, standardize KPIs, improve data quality, and enable effective reporting and analytics.
Your work will directly support better decision-making and greater adoption of data across a multi-site manufacturing environment.
You will collaborate with teams across the United States and Canada in a transformation-focused, cross-functional setting.
This is a fully remote opportunity with significant scope to shape enterprise-wide data practices and analytics capabilities.
Accountabilities
Define, maintain, and continuously improve enterprise-wide data governance standards, policies, procedures, and operating practices.
Establish and manage the enterprise data dictionary and business glossary, creating a trusted single source of truth for key business terms, metrics, and definitions.
Partner with Finance, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, IT, and other stakeholders to define and standardize KPIs, business metrics, and reporting requirements.
Ensure consistent data definitions and business logic across ERP, CRM, data warehouse, and other enterprise environments.
Collaborate with IT teams and third-party implementation partners to validate data models, mappings, transformation rules, and system structures.
Monitor data quality across business systems, identify inconsistencies and gaps, and coordinate remediation initiatives.
Support the design, implementation, and adoption of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.
Facilitate data governance forums, working sessions, and cross-functional alignment meetings to establish common standards and resolve data-related issues.
Embed governance practices into new system implementations, enhancements, integrations, and transformation initiatives.
Document data lineage and traceability from source systems through transformations to reporting and analytics outputs.
Promote data literacy, adoption, and effective use of analytics and self-service reporting capabilities across business teams.
Partner with Data Architecture and Integration teams to maintain consistency across data pipelines, structures, and enterprise information flows.
Support compliance, audit, and data privacy requirements related to enterprise data management.
Drive continuous improvement in data accuracy, completeness, consistency, usability, and accessibility.
Manage multiple priorities and initiatives while maintaining strong documentation, stakeholder communication, and governance discipline.
Bachelor's degree in information systems, business analytics, data management, computer science, or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of experience in data governance, analytics, business intelligence, enterprise data management, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience defining and standardizing KPIs, business metrics, and enterprise reporting structures.
Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP, JD Edwards, Dynamics, or comparable enterprise systems.
Strong knowledge of data governance principles, data quality management, metadata management, and enterprise data practices.
Ability to translate business requirements into structured data definitions, governance standards, reporting logic, and measurable KPIs.
Familiarity with data warehouse concepts, dimensional modeling, ETL processes, and data integration principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a high level of attention to data accuracy and consistency.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong documentation and organizational skills, particularly for maintaining data dictionaries, governance frameworks, lineage documentation, and other governance artifacts.
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, transformation-focused environment.
Strong judgment and practical problem-solving skills, including the ability to address issues involving multiple variables within standardized business processes.
Experience implementing enterprise data governance frameworks, such as DAMA-DMBOK, is preferred.
Experience supporting data warehouse or analytics platform implementations is preferred.
Familiarity with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or multi-site operational environments is preferred.
Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure Data Platform, Snowflake, or AWS analytics technologies is preferred.
Experience supporting large-scale ERP or data warehouse transformation programs is preferred.
Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs, supply chain metrics, and operational reporting structures is preferred.
Experience working with third-party implementation partners in hybrid delivery environments is preferred.
Certifications in data governance, analytics, or business intelligence, such as CDMP or Microsoft Data Analyst Associate, are preferred.
Experience driving enterprise adoption of analytics and self-service reporting capabilities is preferred.
