The Technical Lead will play a strategic role in designing, scaling, and improving global data platforms through modern software engineering practices.
You will lead the architecture and delivery of distributed systems while ensuring reliability, security, and performance at enterprise scale.
The role combines hands-on development, technical leadership, and collaboration with international engineering teams.

Accountabilities:
As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for guiding the technical direction of large-scale platform initiatives while contributing directly to architecture, development, and operational excellence.
- Own the end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of complex backend and platform solutions focused on scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Design, build, and operate distributed systems using cloud-native technologies and modern engineering practices.
- Drive technical decisions through architecture discussions, code reviews, engineering standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with global teams and stakeholders to expand data integration capabilities and deliver strategic platform improvements.
- Lead incident resolution processes, including root cause analysis, postmortems, reliability improvements, and observability enhancements.
- Promote high-quality software delivery through strong testing practices, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and safe deployment strategies.
- Mentor engineers, support technical growth, and encourage knowledge sharing across teams.
- Contribute to inner-source initiatives and global engineering alignment by improving collaboration and reuse of solutions.
- Ensure security-by-design principles are applied across development processes and proactively address vulnerabilities and compliance needs.
- Support full-stack delivery when required, combining backend expertise with frontend technologies to deliver complete solutions.
- Encourage the adoption of AI-driven engineering practices and modern productivity tools to improve development efficiency.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate has strong experience in software engineering, distributed systems, cloud platforms, and technical leadership. You should be comfortable working in global environments and influencing engineering decisions.
- Strong professional experience in backend engineering, platform engineering, or distributed systems development.
- Advanced knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and distributed system fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, performance optimization, and reliability engineering.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes/EKS or ECS.
- Experience implementing testing strategies, including unit tests, integration tests, acceptance automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with tools such as OpenAPI, Jenkins, SonarQube, and security scanning solutions.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and data streaming technologies such as Kafka or similar platforms.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with awareness of secure development practices.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and influence architectural decisions.
- Experience collaborating with distributed teams across different regions and time zones.
- Familiarity with modern engineering design and collaboration tools such as draw.io or similar solutions.
- Experience adopting AI-powered development tools and practices, including tools such as Cursor, Claude, MCP, or equivalent agentic engineering approaches.
- Advanced English proficiency is required.
- Experience with frontend technologies such as Angular, React, TypeScript, and API integration is a plus.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), advanced AWS optimization, and automation practices is desirable.
