This role focuses on building reliable integrations and automation solutions that connect internal systems with critical third-party platforms. You will work across technology, Finance, HR, Operations, and other business functions to translate operational needs into scalable technical solutions. The position combines software development with iPaaS technologies, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise systems such as ERP and finance platforms. You will contribute to the full integration lifecycle, from requirements gathering and development through testing, deployment, monitoring, and optimization. The role also includes code reviews and participation in an on-call rotation to maintain system reliability. Over time, you will take increasing ownership of integration projects and help improve engineering practices, documentation, and operational resilience.
Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain modular, high-quality integrations and automation solutions connecting internal systems with third-party platforms, including ERP and finance systems.
- Partner with stakeholders across IT, Finance, HR, Operations, and other business functions to understand requirements, assess risks, define priorities, and establish delivery milestones.
- Build and manage integrations using iPaaS platforms such as Workato, Boomi, MuleSoft, or Make.
- Develop and maintain integrations using REST, SOAP, APIs, and related integration technologies.
- Translate business requirements and operational processes into reliable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback focused on correctness, readability, maintainability, and engineering quality.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to monitor integration health, investigate incidents, improve logging and error handling, and address root causes of production issues.
- Become familiar with the existing integration ecosystem, internal tooling, coding standards, and third-party systems during the initial onboarding period.
- Take ownership of active integration projects and progressively manage delivery with greater independence.
- Deliver complete integrations and automation enhancements within agreed timelines while minimizing post-launch rework.
- Contribute to reducing mean time to resolution (MTTR) for integration-related incidents through effective troubleshooting and operational improvements.
- Improve technical documentation and knowledge-sharing practices for owned systems and automation workflows.
- Contribute actionable and constructive feedback during code reviews and help ensure agreed engineering standards are consistently applied.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js, with practical experience building automation and integration solutions.
- Hands-on experience with iPaaS platforms such as Workato, Boomi, MuleSoft, or Make.
- Strong understanding of integration practices, including REST, SOAP, APIs, and related technologies.
- Experience integrating ERP or finance systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Workday, or comparable enterprise platforms.
- Ability to understand the relationship between vendor platforms, internal systems, and business processes and bridge technical gaps between them.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear, practical, and maintainable technical solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud compute infrastructure and modern cloud-based development environments.
- Demonstrated ability to estimate development work and deliver projects within agreed timelines.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, particularly when investigating production integration issues.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and respond effectively to system incidents.
- Strong attention to code quality, maintainability, documentation, and testing.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment while taking ownership of assigned projects and deliverables.
- Base salary range of $76,000-$104,500 CAD.
- Additional compensation may be available depending on the role, including annual bonuses, commissions, or equity awards.
