This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Analyst, Treasury based in Canada.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of core treasury operations within a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You will help manage liquidity across more than 40 bank accounts while supporting cash forecasting, FX hedging, banking administration, and treasury compliance. Working closely with financial leadership, you will contribute to critical decisions around cash positioning and foreign exchange exposure. The position also provides an opportunity to support treasury automation and the implementation of Treasury Management Software. You will take responsibility for recurring treasury deliverables while ensuring accuracy, continuity, and compliance. The role is fully remote within Canada and combines hands-on operational ownership with process improvement and financial analysis.
Accountabilities:
- Manage daily cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, and cash concentration decisions across multiple bank accounts and entities.
- Independently maintain daily cash position reports, intraday updates, and direct cash forecasts with minimal ramp-up time.
- Execute and report on the FX hedging program, including trade uploads, FX audits, documentation, and compliance with established FX rate policies.
- Manage bank account administration across entities, including account openings and closures, portal access, signatory models, and bank fee monitoring.
- Manage reporting obligations associated with credit agreements and support treasury compliance activities.
- Administer the insurance program, including annual renewals, claims, certificates, and mid-term changes.
- Participate in treasury automation and systems initiatives, helping improve processes, efficiency, and operational continuity.
- Support the implementation and ongoing use of Treasury Management Software and related treasury systems.
- Complete a structured knowledge transfer with the outgoing Senior Analyst to ensure continuity across treasury functions.
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual treasury activities accurately and within established deadlines.
- Maintain uninterrupted daily cash management, FX execution, and executive treasury reporting throughout the coverage period.
- Ensure credit agreement, insurance, and compliance deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Contribute to treasury improvement projects and operational transitions while avoiding treasury-related delivery delays.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, reporting, and documentation across treasury operations.
- 4+ years of professional experience in treasury operations, with hands-on ownership of cash management, FX/hedging, and bank administration.
- Experience working with treasury or ERP systems such as NetSuite, FloQast, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong financial modelling skills, including the ability to build, maintain, and interpret cash forecasts, liquidity scenarios, and variance analyses.
- Practical experience using AI tools to improve productivity, automate routine activities, or enhance financial and analytical workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of concurrent deliverables across daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.
- Strong understanding of liquidity management, cash positioning, foreign exchange processes, and banking operations.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of critical treasury activities with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when handling financial information, transactions, reporting, and compliance deliverables.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify discrepancies, assess risks, and resolve operational issues.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, particularly when working with financial leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to manage sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism.
- 7-month contract with potential for permanent placement.
- Base hourly compensation of $48-$66 CAD per hour.
