Lead, Workfront Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead, Workfront Engineer based in the United States.

As a Lead, Workfront Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in designing, configuring, and optimizing Adobe Workfront solutions for enterprise clients. You will turn complex business and workflow requirements into scalable, well-governed platform implementations that improve operational efficiency. Working within a collaborative consulting environment, you will partner with architects, consultants, product owners, and client stakeholders. The role combines technical delivery, platform administration, process optimization, and client enablement. You will contribute directly to billable engagements while helping ensure Workfront environments remain reliable, consistent, and aligned with business objectives. Accountabilities:

• Configure, administer, maintain, and optimize Adobe Workfront environments, including dashboards, reports, templates, request queues, custom forms, workflows, and related platform components.
• Build and maintain automations, approval paths, intake processes, permissions, governance standards, and system configurations based on business requirements.
• Translate documented functional and business requirements into scalable Workfront solutions that support client workflows and operational objectives.
• Partner with solution architects, consultants, analysts, product owners, and client stakeholders to define workflow models, reporting structures, and governance frameworks.
• Contribute directly to client engagements through hands-on implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and platform optimization.
• Assess existing Workfront environments to identify opportunities for configuration improvements, process enhancements, data cleanup, restructuring, and performance optimization.
• Support automation and integration initiatives, including Workfront Fusion and similar technologies, as well as REST API-based integrations where applicable.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, Agile ceremonies, quality assurance activities, and user acceptance testing.
• Create and maintain technical documentation covering configurations, solution decisions, processes, and implementation standards.
• Develop enablement materials and technical handoffs that help clients and internal teams effectively manage and use Workfront solutions.
• Monitor and support information security practices, including appropriate access controls, secure handling of information assets, password and malware protection, and data governance.
• Identify and communicate security and privacy risks while supporting compliance with applicable data protection standards such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Integrate appropriate data protection measures throughout the information lifecycle and help maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.
• Contribute meaningfully to billable delivery across Workfront engagements while operating as a technical contributor rather than the primary engagement lead.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience configuring and administering Adobe Workfront in enterprise or complex workflow environments.
• Strong understanding of project management, creative operations, marketing operations, or other enterprise workflow processes.
• Demonstrated experience building and optimizing Workfront dashboards, reports, templates, custom forms, request queues, workflows, and automations.
• Working knowledge of Workfront Fusion or comparable automation and integration platforms is preferred.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, system integrations, and enterprise marketing, project management, or workflow ecosystems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to diagnose platform and process issues effectively.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical, scalable, and well-governed technical configurations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to collaborate directly with clients and operate in a consultative environment.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with architects, consultants, developers, analysts, product owners, and delivery teams.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments and participating in sprint planning, estimation, testing, and related ceremonies.
• Adobe Workfront Core Developer certification is preferred.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain configuration quality, and contribute independently to client-facing delivery.
• Strong awareness of information security, privacy, data governance, and responsible handling of enterprise information.
