Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Network Engineer IV based in United States.

This is a senior-level networking opportunity focused on designing, engineering, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise and multi-datacenter environments.

You will shape highly available architectures spanning routing, switching, data center fabrics, network security, and access control.

The role combines advanced technical ownership with hands-on troubleshooting of high-impact infrastructure and security issues.

You will work with technologies including Cisco ACI, Cisco SD-Access, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN/EVPN, and Palo Alto firewalls.

Automation and infrastructure-as-code using Python and Ansible will help drive consistency, compliance, and operational efficiency.

You will also influence network strategy, collaborate with vendors and technical teams, and mentor less experienced engineers.

This fully remote position offers the opportunity to make a broad impact across an enterprise-scale technology environment, with occasional travel to the Seattle metropolitan area.

Accountabilities

    • Design and architect scalable, resilient enterprise and multi-datacenter network solutions covering routing, switching, fabric, security, and access control.
    • Lead complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for routing protocols, switching and fabric connectivity, firewall policies, and other service-impacting network issues.
    • Architect and maintain Cisco ACI data center fabrics, including tenant structures, endpoint groups, contracts, integrations, segmentation, and high-availability configurations.
    • Architect and maintain Cisco SD-Access environments, including underlay and overlay networks, fabric edge, border and control-plane nodes, DNA Center policies, and network segmentation.
    • Design, configure, optimize, and troubleshoot BGP and OSPF environments, including route redistribution, policy controls, and multi-site architectures.
    • Design highly available switching infrastructure across Nexus, ACI, and SD-Access environments, including VXLAN/EVPN-based segmentation and redundancy.
    • Configure and manage Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPN, threat prevention, and segmentation strategies.
    • Develop and enforce network access control and device compliance policies using technologies such as Forescout or Aruba ClearPass.
    • Serve as a senior escalation point for critical network incidents and recommend appropriate security posture improvements.
    • Evaluate hardware, software, and vendor solutions based on technical requirements, cost, performance, scalability, and business needs.
    • Lead implementation planning for network hardware and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and related infrastructure.
    • Develop project plans, technical task lists, network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and other documentation while participating in peer design reviews.
    • Partner with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate, integrate, and support new technologies and services.
    • Architect and implement network automation and infrastructure-as-code pipelines using Python and Ansible to improve configuration consistency, compliance, and policy deployment.
    • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers while contributing to process improvement and operational excellence.
    • Participate in an on-call support rotation and provide reliable customer-focused service across critical network operations.
    • Requirements

      • High school diploma or equivalent required, along with a bachelor’s degree preferably in a field related to networking or technology; relevant professional experience may substitute for the degree at management discretion.
      • 8-11 years of professional experience in network engineering or a closely related field, with advanced expertise in enterprise networking environments.
      • CCNA or higher certification required, with Routing and Switching, Enterprise, or Data Center specialization; CCNP or CCIE certification is preferred.
      • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, the OSI model, switching technologies, BGP, and OSPF design, troubleshooting, and optimization.
      • Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco ACI architecture, data center fabrics, Cisco SD-Access, campus fabric design, and VXLAN/EVPN technologies.
      • Strong understanding of network security architecture, including Palo Alto Networks firewall policies, segmentation, NAT, VPN, and threat prevention.
      • Experience with network access control concepts and enforcement using Forescout, Aruba ClearPass, or comparable technologies.
      • Working knowledge of multi-vendor networking equipment and technologies, including Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, and Brocade.
      • Demonstrated ability to architect and implement network automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions using Python and Ansible.
      • Strong capabilities in complex troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, network monitoring, technical documentation, network diagramming, and process improvement.
      • Excellent communication, collaboration, client-service, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics effectively.
      • Strong project planning, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on reliability and operational excellence.
      • Wireless networking certifications are a plus.
      • Ability to work remotely from home and travel periodically to the Seattle, Washington metropolitan area, with travel of up to 10%.
      • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and work effectively in a fast-paced enterprise technology environment.
      • Benefits

        • Annual compensation range of approximately $108,253 to $158,733.30, depending on geographic market, qualifications, skills, and experience.
        • Potential annual bonuses or other incentive compensation.
        • Potential equity awards and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
        • Fully remote work-from-home arrangement.
        • Opportunities to work with advanced enterprise networking, cloud, security, automation, and infrastructure technologies.
        • Professional development opportunities within a technology-focused environment.
        • Collaborative culture emphasizing technical excellence, customer focus, expertise, agility, and innovation.
        • Comprehensive employee benefits, with specific offerings determined by eligibility and location.
