This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Partner Manager, AI Ecosystems based in United States.
This role owns strategic partnerships across the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem, with a focus on foundation models, agent platforms, and AI-native technologies. You will deepen existing relationships while identifying new integration and distribution opportunities that can expand the reach and commercial impact of AI-powered solutions. Working closely with engineering, R&D, product, and external technology partners, you will help shape and launch new AI surfaces such as MCP servers, skills, plugins, and agent tools. The position combines technical partnership management, ecosystem strategy, product thinking, and business development. You will also monitor emerging trends and translate changes in the AI landscape into actionable partnership strategies. This is an opportunity to help define how technology partnerships evolve in a fast-moving category where there is still no established playbook.
Accountabilities:
- Own and deepen relationships with foundation model companies, agent harnesses, and AI-native platforms, including both existing and prospective partners.
- Expand existing partnerships by identifying opportunities for greater platform presence, improved placement, tighter integrations, and stronger strategic alignment.
- Continuously assess the AI ecosystem to identify new platforms, surfaces, and partnership opportunities worth pursuing.
- Lead partner review, certification, compliance, app store, and plugin submission processes, driving resolution when partner feedback or approvals stall.
- Develop monetization strategies across partner surfaces by identifying opportunities to increase usage, credit consumption, connector adoption, and revenue.
- Collaborate with external platforms and multiple ISVs to design and launch new plugins, skills, and integrations that deliver meaningful value to users operating AI systems headlessly.
- Work with internal R&D and technical teams to translate partner capabilities into practical product and integration opportunities.
- Evaluate every new AI surface as a product opportunity, defining its purpose, target users, capabilities, and discovery strategy.
- Track developments across foundation models, agent ecosystems, MCP, skills, plugins, and other emerging AI technologies.
- Develop a clear point of view on market changes and communicate their implications for partnership strategy and business priorities.
- Act as an internal subject-matter resource, helping teams understand emerging AI ecosystem developments and their strategic relevance.
- 5+ years of experience in technology partnerships, API partnerships, developer relations, or a closely related technical partnerships function.
- Experience working with foundation model companies, agent platforms, AI-native ecosystems, or comparable technology environments is highly valuable.
- Strong technical fluency, including the ability to navigate API documentation and discuss MCP concepts and integration architecture with engineering and R&D teams.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret a rapidly evolving technology category and clearly explain recent developments and their business implications.
- Experience coordinating multi-party partnerships involving platforms, technology providers, and multiple ISVs simultaneously.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in emerging categories without established processes or playbooks, building structure and strategy as the ecosystem develops.
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Existing relationships within foundation model companies, agent harness platforms, or the broader AI and developer ecosystem are preferred.
- Experience designing or shipping an MCP server, skill, plugin, or similar AI integration is preferred.
- Background in developer relations, technical partner management, or product-adjacent partnerships within a SaaS or platform company is preferred.
- Ability to use AI and automation to improve productivity and work more effectively in an AI-native environment.
- Tier 1 annual pay range of $140,000-$175,000 for San Francisco, New York City, and Seattle.
- Tier 2 annual pay range of $120,000-$150,000 for all other U.S. locations.
- Compensation range reflects total cash compensation, including annual base salary and applicable annual bonus; final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, location, and career level.
- Equity opportunities.
- Company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, where applicable.
- 401(k) retirement plan.
- At least 10 paid holidays annually, flexible PTO, and parental leave.
- Employee assistance and wellbeing programs.
- Global travel coverage.
- Life, AD&D, short-term disability, and long-term disability insurance.
- FSA/HSA and medical, dental, and vision benefits.
- Remote work opportunity across the United States.
- Growth opportunities, autonomy, and support for professional development.
- A collaborative, ownership-driven environment focused on experimentation, continuous learning, and meaningful impact.
- Opportunity to work at the forefront of AI ecosystems, partnerships, and emerging agent technologies.
