As an Automation QA Engineer, you’ll design, develop, and maintain robust automated testing solutions using Selenium and Java.
You’ll contribute to automation frameworks, expand test coverage, and help integrate quality practices throughout the development lifecycle.
The role covers functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing across web applications.
You’ll work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve issues early.

Accountabilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
- Build, maintain, and enhance hybrid automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency, reliability, and coverage.
- Implement automation using technologies and patterns such as TestNG, Maven, Git/GitHub, Page Object Model, Page Factory, and data-driven frameworks.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and reliable software releases.
- Analyze software requirements and translate them into comprehensive test strategies, scenarios, and plans.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing of web applications.
- Automate and execute REST and SOAP API tests as part of comprehensive quality assurance processes.
- Develop complex and stable web-element locators and write clean, reusable, and maintainable automation code.
- Identify, document, track, and communicate defects using tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to investigate defects and resolve issues early in the SDLC.
- Generate detailed test reports and quality metrics to provide visibility into application quality and test outcomes.
- Stay current with emerging testing technologies, automation practices, and continuous-testing approaches.
- 3-9 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a strong focus on test automation.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Selenium WebDriver and Java for automated testing.
- Proven experience implementing hybrid automation frameworks for web applications using Selenium, Java, TestNG, Maven, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Page Object Model, Page Factory, data-driven testing, and the development of complex and reliable web-element locators.
- Ability to write clean, reusable, efficient, and maintainable automation code.
- Hands-on experience with REST and SOAP API testing and automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and QA/testing methodologies.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools, particularly JIRA and TestRail.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders in a fast-paced development environment.
- Experience in the e-commerce domain and exposure to continuous testing practices are strong advantages.

- 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
- Flexible shift options: 3:00 PM-11:00 PM IST or 4:00 PM-12:00 AM IST.
