IT Support Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an IT Support Engineer based in India.

You’ll play a hands-on role in keeping day-to-day technology operations reliable, secure, and seamless for users.

The position combines Tier 1 and Tier 2 support with IT operations, employee onboarding and offboarding, and access administration.

You’ll help manage Mac and Windows devices while working with identity, endpoint management, and collaboration tools.

The role also offers an opportunity to improve processes, document best practices, and build scalable internal IT systems.

You’ll work independently in a lean environment where proactive problem-solving, security, and reliability are highly valued.

Accountabilities

• Provide responsive Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support, resolving employee issues through ticketing systems and monitoring relevant IT communication channels.
• Manage end-to-end laptop provisioning and de-provisioning for Mac and Windows devices through external technology partners.
• Coordinate global employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring timely access, equipment, and IT support.
• Deliver IT training and guidance to employees to help them effectively use internal technology and systems.
• Administer identity and access management platforms, including Google Workspace and Okta, while supporting secure authentication and provisioning processes.
• Manage and maintain endpoint and device-management environments, including Microsoft Intune and JAMF.
• Support SAML/SSO, SCIM provisioning, SPF/DKIM, VPN, and Azure/Microsoft ADFS-related IT operations.
• Identify recurring issues and operational gaps, then develop improvements that increase reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
• Document IT procedures, troubleshooting guidance, and best practices to continuously expand and improve the internal IT knowledge base.
• Apply a security-first mindset to IT operations, anticipating edge cases and proactively addressing potential risks.
• Work collaboratively with teams across the organization to deliver dependable IT services and improve the overall employee technology experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional IT experience, including at least 2 years of experience implementing or managing IT management software.
• Demonstrated ability to independently execute IT operations end-to-end within a small, fast-moving organization.
• Advanced hands-on expertise with macOS, Windows, Microsoft Intune, JAMF, SAML/SSO, SCIM provisioning, SPF/DKIM, VPNs, and Azure/Microsoft ADFS.
• Strong understanding of endpoint management, identity and access management, device provisioning, and enterprise IT support processes.
• Experience providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support and managing employee onboarding and offboarding workflows.
• Strong security awareness with a focus on reliability, preventative controls, and anticipating unusual or edge-case scenarios.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
• Proactive approach to process improvement, documentation, and building scalable IT practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
