This senior-level contract role sits within a customer experience insights practice supporting a broad digital and e-commerce organization. You will bring rigorous quantitative analysis to qualitative research, journey management, and customer experience programs. Your work will help quantify customer pain points, size opportunities, and translate research findings into measurable business impact. You will build frameworks that connect customer signals, behavioral data, and business outcomes to support confident prioritization. The role offers the opportunity to influence senior leadership decisions through clear, defensible evidence. You will also help strengthen AI-enabled analytics workflows and develop more scalable approaches to insight generation across a complex enterprise environment.
Accountabilities
- Quantify customer journey moments, friction points, opportunities, and potential solutions by assessing customer volume, revenue exposure, effort reduction, and broader business impact.
- Develop business-impact assessments for research and design recommendations that are clear, defensible, and suitable for Finance and senior leadership review.
- Establish consistent frameworks for scoring and prioritizing opportunities across different verticals, personas, and customer segments.
- Prepare quantified analyses and decision-ready inputs for senior leadership and executive decision forums.
- Build and maintain journey performance scorecards and KPI frameworks covering critical customer and growth journeys.
- Connect qualitative research findings with measurable signals such as NPS, CES, CSAT, behavioral friction, funnel performance, conversion, retention, and customer effort.
- Develop persona-level and segment-level insight models to identify meaningful differences in customer behavior and experience.
- Translate behavioral data into clear, interpretable experience trends rather than simply reporting raw telemetry.
- Establish and maintain an integrated evidence repository that enables stakeholders to trace recommendations and claims back to their underlying sources.
- Maintain traceability between source evidence, recommendations, and quantified business impact across active workstreams.
- Maintain and improve recurring AI workflows, automations, data pulls, survey analyses, and dashboard inputs.
- Create clean, intuitive data views that can be used effectively in stakeholder presentations and leadership decisions.
- Develop data views suitable for AI retrieval workflows in collaboration with AI insights stakeholders.
- Design and analyze validation surveys that test hypotheses generated through qualitative research.
- Partner with Voice of Customer teams to analyze NPS, CES, and other customer feedback at journey, persona, and segment levels.
- Apply appropriate statistical methods and communicate sample sizes, sampling approaches, confidence, limitations, and uncertainty clearly.
- Collaborate with researchers, service designers, journey owners, analytics teams, and data engineers to ensure recommendations are measurable and actionable.
- Help define the requirements for a reliable, governed data foundation across distributed data sources.
- Coach colleagues on quantitative reasoning, opportunity sizing, and signal interpretation to strengthen analytical capabilities across the wider practice.
- 5+ years of experience in quantitative research, product analytics, insights analytics, or a comparable applied analytics role.
- Demonstrated ability to combine qualitative and quantitative evidence into actionable recommendations that have influenced leadership decisions.
- Strong practical knowledge of AI tools, AI-assisted workflows, and analytical automation.
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one analytical programming environment, such as Python or R.
- Hands-on experience designing and analyzing surveys, including sampling, weighting, statistical interpretation, and transparent treatment of uncertainty.
- Familiarity with customer experience measurement frameworks and metrics, including NPS, CES, CSAT, funnel performance, conversion, and retention.
- Ability to create clear dashboards, data views, and analytical outputs for non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort working within complex, federated data environments where ownership is distributed and no single source is necessarily authoritative.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex quantitative findings directly, clearly, and without unnecessary technical language.
- Experience with journey management or journey analytics is preferred, particularly exposure to journey management platforms such as TheyDo.
- Familiarity with Snowflake or comparable enterprise data warehouses, as well as semantic or metrics layers, is advantageous.
- Experience with behavioral analytics platforms such as FullStory and survey platforms such as Qualtrics is a plus.
- Background in SaaS or subscription-business analytics, including ARR, conversion, retention, and expansion metrics, is beneficial.
- Familiarity with causal inference techniques and an understanding of the limitations of observational data is preferred.
- Experience contributing to AI-assisted or retrieval-grounded analytical workflows is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple systems, stakeholders, and data sources in a complex enterprise environment.
- $75/hour compensation.
- 6-month full-time contract with an expected workload of 30-40 hours per week.
