This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Performance Marketing Strategist based in Canada.
As a Senior Performance Marketing Strategist, you will own paid media strategy for a portfolio of high-growth B2B companies and act as a trusted advisor to senior marketing and executive stakeholders. You will connect campaign performance to the metrics that matter most, including qualified leads, pipeline, and revenue. The role combines hands-on expertise across major advertising platforms with strategic client leadership and commercial judgment. You will lead senior-level conversations, turn complex data into clear recommendations, and confidently guide clients toward decisions. You will also drive forecasting, budget management, conversion tracking, experimentation, and AI-assisted campaign optimization. This is a fully remote opportunity within a high-performing, globally distributed team where ownership, continuous learning, and client impact are central to the working environment.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and lead paid media strategies aligned with each client’s business objectives and North Star Metric, ensuring advertising investment is connected to measurable commercial outcomes.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of approximately 4-7 B2B clients as the primary strategic contact, building trusted relationships with Marketing Managers, demand generation leaders, CMOs, and executive stakeholders.
- Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews, presenting results, trade-offs, risks, opportunities, and recommended next actions while keeping conversations focused on decisions and priorities.
- Set agendas, confidently manage senior client calls, handle challenging questions and pushback in real time, and ensure every conversation concludes with clear decisions, owners, and timelines.
- Own forecasting and budget pacing against quarterly and annual targets, proactively identifying risks, blockers, and opportunities before they impact performance.
- Translate campaign and attribution data into clear, actionable recommendations that clients can understand and implement, focusing on demos, pipeline, revenue, and other meaningful business outcomes rather than vanity metrics.
- Plan, launch, manage, and optimize campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Meta Ads according to client objectives and performance requirements.
- Maintain end-to-end conversion tracking integrity across GA4, Google Tag Manager, and CRM systems, ensuring measurement is accurate before campaigns are launched or changes are implemented.
- Diagnose performance issues at their root, whether related to tracking, account structure, bidding, creative, targeting, or demand, and prioritize solutions based on business impact, effort, and implementation realities.
- Drive AI-assisted campaign strategy, creative testing, measurement, and optimization while continuously identifying ways to improve performance and operational efficiency.
- Provide candid, constructive feedback and coach clients at different levels, helping them understand performance, make informed decisions, and improve their marketing effectiveness.
- Maintain strong quality standards by thoroughly reviewing and QAing campaign changes, tracking configurations, recommendations, and deliverables before they go live.
- 3+ years of hands-on B2B paid media experience, including at least 1 year working with B2B SaaS companies.
- Previous experience in a client-facing strategic role where you owned client communication, recommendations, and outcomes rather than focusing solely on campaign execution.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering against B2B marketing objectives such as MQL, SQL, pipeline, or revenue targets.
- Direct experience managing at least $50,000 in monthly advertising spend across multiple client accounts or campaigns.
- Strong Google Ads expertise combined with practical experience using at least one additional platform such as LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads, or Microsoft Ads.
- Working knowledge of GA4, Google Tag Manager, and CRM-based attribution, with experience using platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to connect campaign-level data to broader business performance and commercial outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to lead senior-level conversations and defend strategic recommendations under pressure.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, budgets, and strategic priorities simultaneously.
- Commercial judgment and a proactive mindset, with the ability to identify risks, opportunities, and blockers without waiting for clients to raise them.
- A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow-through, combined with a growth mindset and willingness to continuously learn and improve.
- Comfortable working in a remote, international environment and collaborating across different time zones and functions.
- Fully remote working arrangement.
- 5 weeks of paid time off.
- Competitive compensation with quarterly bonus opportunities.
- Flexible working hours, with a requirement for at least 4 hours of overlap with the 9:00 AM-5:00 PM EST working window.
- Paid professional development, including access to training, schools, events, and conferences.
- For full-time Canadian residents, comprehensive health, dental, and vision/eye care coverage.
- Opportunity to work with fast-growing B2B and SaaS businesses and influence meaningful pipeline and revenue outcomes.
- High level of ownership and exposure to senior marketing and executive stakeholders.
- Opportunity to develop expertise across paid media, attribution, AI-assisted marketing, experimentation, and strategic consulting.
- Collaborative environment with a globally distributed team focused on continuous learning, client success, and professional growth.
