Senior SAP PM Functional Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior SAP PM Functional Consultant based in India.

Join a major SAP ECC to S/4HANA conversion project as a senior functional expert within the Plant Maintenance / Enterprise Asset Management workstream.

You will play a key role in shaping and delivering the transition from legacy ECC processes to modern S/4HANA Asset Management.

The position offers the opportunity to lead fit-gap assessments, functional design, configuration, migration, testing, and go-live activities.

You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional SAP teams across MM, CO, QM, and EWM.

The environment is remote and offshore, with exposure to complex transformation initiatives and end-to-end SAP delivery.

Your expertise will directly contribute to a successful S/4HANA implementation, from initial analysis through cutover and hypercare.

Accountabilities:

• Lead the SAP PM/EAM workstream throughout the ECC to S/4HANA conversion, ensuring functional scope, deliverables, and timelines are effectively managed.
• Conduct detailed fit-gap analysis and assess S/4HANA simplifications, functional changes, and business-process impacts.
• Design, configure, and validate SAP PM/EAM processes, including functional locations, equipment, maintenance orders, notifications, maintenance plans, and task lists.
• Support PM master data migration using relevant SAP migration tools and ensure data quality and business readiness.
• Define requirements and work closely with ABAP teams on RICEFW developments, enhancements, BAdIs, and user exits, including preparation of functional specifications.
• Lead functional testing, defect resolution, UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.
• Coordinate SAP PM integration requirements with MM, CO, QM, and EWM teams to ensure end-to-end process alignment.
• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders, gather requirements, and translate business needs into effective SAP solutions.
• Prepare and maintain configuration documentation, functional specifications, test scripts, and other project deliverables.
• Support modern Fiori-based maintenance execution and contribute to the adoption of S/4HANA best practices and the SAP Activate methodology.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in SAP PM/EAM functional consulting, with strong hands-on expertise in Plant Maintenance and Asset Management.
• Proven experience delivering at least 2 full lifecycle SAP ECC to S/4HANA conversion projects.
• Strong knowledge of S/4HANA Plant Maintenance / Asset Management, including fit-gap analysis and S/4HANA simplifications.
• Extensive functional expertise across functional locations, equipment, maintenance orders and notifications, maintenance plans, task lists, calibration, and preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Experience with PM master data migration, including Migration Cockpit and/or LSMW.
• Strong understanding of SAP PM integration with MM, CO, and QM; EWM integration experience is an advantage.
• Experience with Fiori-based maintenance execution, RICEFW, functional specifications, testing, UAT, cutover, and hypercare.
• Practical knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and structured implementation practices.
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business users, functional consultants, ABAP developers, and cross-functional SAP teams in a remote/offshore environment.
• SAP S/4HANA Asset Management certification is preferred.
• Experience with SAP Predictive Asset Insights / Asset Performance Management (APM), Linear Asset Management, or System Integrator / consulting environments is an advantage.
