This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst - Data, Digital & Marketing Analytics based in the United States.
This role offers the opportunity to serve as a strategic finance partner to Digital and Marketing teams, turning complex data into actionable business insights.
You will support financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and reporting across digital sales channels and marketing investments.
The position combines advanced financial analysis with hands-on data work across e-commerce, marketing platforms, marketplaces, and finance systems.
You will identify the business drivers behind performance trends and translate them into clear financial narratives for both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Your analysis will help leadership understand risks, opportunities, channel performance, customer economics, and return on marketing investments.
You will also contribute to financial models, company-wide reporting, scenario analysis, and month-end activities in partnership with cross-functional teams.

Accountabilities
- Own weekly reporting of digital sales performance against annual operating plan (AOP), forecast, and prior-year results, identifying variances and developing explanations based on underlying business drivers such as customer acquisition, average order value, auto-ship volume, promotional efficiency, and sell-in versus sell-through dynamics.
- Track marketing and promotional activations, financial performance, channel mix changes, and project return on investment (ROI).
- Translate financial analysis into clear and actionable narratives for non-finance stakeholders and convert digital and marketing data into relevant financial insights for finance leadership.
- Own and maintain a comprehensive suite of digital and marketing key performance indicators (KPIs), including customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime revenue (LTR), customer lifetime value (LTV), return on advertising spend (ROAS), cost per thousand impressions (CPM), conversion rate, retention and churn, average order value (AOV), frequency, and funnel metrics.
- Build and maintain recurring dashboards, reporting packages, and analytical outputs for leadership review.
- Monitor performance trends and proactively identify potential risks, opportunities, and emerging business drivers.
- Analyze large and complex datasets from marketing platforms, e-commerce and web analytics, marketplace portals, and financial systems to produce coherent, decision-ready insights.
- Identify the underlying operational and commercial factors driving performance trends and quantify their potential financial impact.
- Support the monthly maintenance and development of financial models by incorporating current business drivers, actual results, and updated assumptions from topline revenue through contribution margin.
- Gather, organize, reconcile, and validate source data used for financial models, annual operating plan processes, and forecasting.
- Contribute to upside and risk scenario modeling by incorporating channel-level growth assumptions, performance trends, and sales-driver trajectories.
- Own the end-to-end production of weekly company-wide sales reporting for leadership.
- Partner with the broader Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team to ensure marketing inputs are accurately reflected in consolidated reporting and forecasts.
- Serve as day-to-day finance support for Digital and Marketing stakeholders, providing analytical guidance and business insights.
- Collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, and Data and Analytics teams to align data definitions, financial treatment, reporting standards, and reporting cadence.
- Support month-end close activities related to digital channels and marketing expenses, including accruals, reclassifications, and reporting.
- Support additional consolidated reporting, analytical projects, and ad hoc requests as needed.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Bring 4-6+ years of experience in business or financial analysis within a marketing, e-commerce, digital, or marketplace environment.
- Have experience working directly with marketing, e-commerce, or marketplace business partners, which is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrate experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and/or long-range financial planning processes.
- Have hands-on experience using AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms, with the ability to apply them practically to data analytics, financial analysis, reporting, and workflow automation.
- Demonstrate fluency in marketing and e-commerce terminology and metrics, including CAC, LTR, LTV, ROAS, CPM, cost per click (CPC), conversion rate, AOV, retention, churn, and funnel metrics.
- Possess advanced Excel and Power Query skills, with experience using business intelligence, data visualization, or AI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Claude preferred.
- Have experience with NetSuite, which is considered a plus.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with large, complex datasets and distill them into clear, actionable business insights.
- Be skilled at connecting data trends to underlying business drivers and explaining the financial and operational reasons behind performance, rather than focusing solely on reported results.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present analytical findings effectively to both finance and non-finance audiences.
- Be proactive, self-motivated, and capable of exercising strong judgment when working through complex analytical and business challenges.
