Role Overview

The MRO Coordinator is responsible for coordinating MRO sourcing and supply activities to help maintain material availability, control inventory, and support operational continuity. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to identify needs, evaluate options, resolve issues, and ensure procurement activities meet the organization’s standards for price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.

What you will do

  • Identify, research, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet standards for price, quality, delivery timing, and reliability of supply.
  • Coordinate MRO purchasing activities and serve as a primary contact for MRO-related inquiries, issues, and follow-up.
  • Monitor inventory levels and material usage to support optimal stock availability and avoid shortages or excess.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, production, engineering, quality, and procurement teams to assess MRO demand and align supply actions.
  • Support supplier negotiations, delivery scheduling, and issue resolution to help ensure on-time performance.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory levels, supplier performance, and maintenance-related material processes.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and tracking information for MRO materials, purchases, and supplier communications.
  • Analyze usage trends, historical data, and operational needs to support purchasing decisions and process improvements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in procurement-related activities and support or coach junior buyers when needed.
  • Help drive process simplification and continuous improvement in MRO coordination and procurement workflows.

How you will do it

  • You will take ownership of outcomes with a strong focus on accountability, safety, and integrity in every purchasing and coordination decision.
  • You will stay close to the work, understand plant needs quickly, and remove obstacles that affect material availability or supplier responsiveness.
  • You will use facts, data, and clear communication to solve problems early and improve processes every day.
  • You will work as one team with internal partners and suppliers, building trust and using different perspectives to reach practical solutions.
  • You'll balance urgency and attention to detail so MRO materials are available when operations need them.

What are we looking for?

  • University degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6 years of suggested minimum experience in procurement, MRO coordination, buyer/planner work, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience identifying, evaluating, and managing suppliers in a manufacturing or operational setting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review inventory, usage, and supplier data to support decisions.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across functions and with external suppliers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, follow through on commitments, and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory management systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.

What do we offer?

  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Supportive and inclusive work environment.
