Accounting Supervisor

A well-established Greek company in the nutritional supplements sector, is looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead the accounting function and support financial operations. The company operates with a holistic health approach, holds a strong position in the Greek pharmacy market, and demonstrates a dynamic export activity, with a growing presence in international markets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting function and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Supervise and mentor a team of 3 accounting professionals
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with local regulations
• Manage cost accounting and product costing processes
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with labor and tax regulations
• Monitor and optimize accounting processes and internal controls
• Coordinate import-export accounting activities, including VAT and customs-related transactions
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, regulatory authorities and external (outsourced) accountants
• Ensure compliance with Greek GAAP and relevant tax legislation
• Support management with financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic decision-making

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Previous experience in pharmaceutical or OTC and consumer healthcare sector
• Strong background in Accounting Management & Cost Analysis
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial reporting
• Hands-on experience with SoftOne ERP
• Experience managing or supervising a small team
• Class A signing rights (optional, considered a plus)
• Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken)
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
• Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
