Data Analyst (BI)

We are looking for a Data Analyst (BI) with strong hands-on expertise in Tableau and SQL. The role will focus on converting complex financial and operational data into actionable business insights through high-quality dashboards, reports, and visualizations.

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Tableau Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain executive and operational dashboards using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud.
• Implement advanced Tableau techniques, including LOD expressions, calculated fields, parameters, custom calculations, and action filters.
• Optimize Tableau workbooks and data sources for improved performance and faster rendering.
• Manage the complete Tableau development lifecycle.

Data Sourcing and Preparation

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and structure data for Tableau consumption.
• Prepare and transform data for reporting and visualization.
• Build reports and visualizations using Tableau or similar BI tools.

Business and Financial Insights:

• Collaborate with finance and risk stakeholders to define relevant business KPIs.
• Analyze areas such as risk scoring, portfolio health, and revenue forecasting.
• Create clear, story-driven visualizations that communicate complex financial trends and risks effectively.

Deployment and Governance:

• Manage data connections and publish data sources on Tableau Server.
• Administer security and access settings.
• Ensure data integrity and appropriate governance of BI assets.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of overall experience, with at least 3 years of dedicated Tableau development experience.
• Strong expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Cloud, and Tableau Prep.
• Demonstrated experience building complex, production-ready Tableau dashboards.
• Expert-level SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience working in fintech, banking, or financial services is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into accurate and effective visual reports.

Good to have:

• Tableau certification such as Tableau Certified Data Analyst or Tableau Desktop Specialist.
• Experience with Python or R for advanced statistical analysis and feeding analytical outputs into Tableau.
