Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and operate scalable, highly available, and resilient backend services and APIs.
• Own features and systems end-to-end from technical design and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Work closely with product and business teams to understand customer problems, translate them into technical solutions, and contribute to product and engineering roadmaps.
• Build and integrate AI/LLM-powered capabilities where they provide meaningful improvements to product experience, automation, or engineering productivity.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions by evaluating performance, scalability, reliability, security, development effort, and cost.
• Improve engineering velocity through automation, AI-assisted development, CI/CD, testing, and developer tooling.
• Establish and promote engineering best practices across design, development, testing, observability, and production operations.
• Diagnose complex production issues and continuously improve system reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Contribute to a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, customer impact, simplicity, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical direction as the team and platform scale.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building reliable, scalable, and maintainable production systems.
• 2+ years of experience designing, developing, and operating backend or full-stack applications at scale.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, Go, C++, or C#.
• Solid experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDB.
• Experience with CI/CD, observability, containers, and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, coding standards, testing, performance, security, and production reliability.
• Ability to understand ambiguous requirements, evaluate technical trade-offs, and independently drive solutions from design through production.

AI & LLM Experience:

• Experience building products or engineering workflows using LLMs and generative AI is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and structured outputs.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar is a plus.
