Your Job

As a Process Engineer in the Outsource Department, your primary purpose is to drive quality, yield, and productivity improvements. You will be responsible for the release of new products to manufacturing, resolving issues that impact the smooth running of parts, and leading machine and process improvements. Your role also includes asset tracking and supervising a team of Engineers and technicians to foster a culture of continuous improvement in the quality system, achieving set goals.

Our Team

You will work within the Data-Com and Specialty Solutions Division, collaborating with a network of assembly subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Your interaction with these contacts is crucial to ensure seamless project transfers and adherence to quality and capacity requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Lead quality, yield, and productivity improvements, ensuring smooth product releases to manufacturing and resolving any issues affecting part production.
  • Design and develop production processes for new product launches at subcontractor locations, including setting up lines, process flow, and conducting process capability studies.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors to allocate resources for project transfers, ensuring capacity and quality requirements are met.
  • Prepare requisition plans for machines, equipment, and other production needs for new projects or sample production.
  • Analyze production line efficiency, ensuring safety compliance and adherence to quality and environmental management procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
  • Introduce new solutions and technologies in production process design, utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Conduct defect analysis and propose improvement activities to enhance product quality.
  • Ensure 100% asset accuracy at subcontractor locations.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in process improvement and quality systems.
  • Ability to perceive directional errors and propose effective solutions.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to take on challenges and demonstrate initiative.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma (advantageous but not necessary) and quality tools such as FMEA and 5Why.
  • Familiarity with IATF16949 standards.
