VISUAL COMMUNICATION DESIGNER (M/F/D)

For our on-site team in Shanghai, we are looking for an experienced Graphic Designer with a focus on presentation design and marketing communications. You combine a strong sense of aesthetics and visual storytelling with the ability to translate complex content into high-quality, compelling, and audience-appropriate communication solutions.

You will be responsible for designing professional presentations for company introductions, client presentations, and business development, support the development of persuasive sales and marketing materials, and shape the visual communication of our brand across digital channels. In doing so, you will ensure a high standard of design quality, a consistent brand identity, and a professional visual presence.

This position offers the opportunity to actively shape the visual communication of an internationally oriented design studio and to work closely with internal teams as well as international clients and project partners.

The employing entity is Kurbos Industrial Product Design (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (studiokurbos China). The position is based in Shanghai; the employment relationship is established directly with the Chinese company and is governed by Chinese law.

YOUR MISSION

• Concept, design, and production of high-quality PowerPoint presentations for company introductions, client presentations, project showcases, and sales pitches

• Translation of complex information, content, and ideas into clear, structured, and visually compelling presentations
• Development of compelling visual storytelling structures and design concepts for the professional communication of content and in support of business development
• Design and further development of sales documents, marketing materials, and presentations for the acquisition of new projects and clients
• Quality assurance and design optimization of existing presentations and design contributions with regard to visual quality, brand identity, and design consistency
• Integration, revision, and refinement of design contributions from various designers, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality overall appearance
• Conceptualization and design of visual content for digital marketing channels and social media, in particular the WeChat Official Account and Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book)
• Development and implementation of consistent visual communication across digital channels as well as internal and external communication media
• Maintenance and further development of the visual brand identity, ensuring a consistent, high-quality brand presence
• Close collaboration with internal teams to align on content, visual concepts, and communication requirements
• Independent management of multiple design tasks and reliable project delivery in line with agreed quality standards and timelines

YOUR PROFILE

• Completed degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Visual Communication, or a comparable qualification
• At least 3-5 years of professional experience in graphic design, presentation design, or visual marketing communication, ideally in an industrial, automotive, or product design environment
• Excellent command of Microsoft PowerPoint and extensive experience in designing high-quality, professional presentations
• Strong sense of aesthetics, visual hierarchy, typography, layout, and consistent design systems
• Ability to translate complex content into clear, understandable, and visually compelling communication solutions
• Very good knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as relevant digital design and communication tools
• Experience in designing marketing materials, sales documents, and visual content for digital communication channels
• Understanding of brand management, corporate design, and the consistent further development of visual identities
• Experience in quality assurance, revision, and design harmonization of presentations and design contributions
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard for design quality and visual precision
• Independent, structured, and responsible way of working with excellent time management skills
• Strong team orientation and enjoyment of collaboration in an international and interdisciplinary environment
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken, and the ability to communicate confidently with international clients and internal stakeholders
• A compelling portfolio showcasing high-quality presentations, marketing materials, and social media designs
