The Role

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft, IBM ACE, IBM MQ, GoAnywhere, OpenText, IBM DataPower, Solace, SAP integration/API capabilities, and enterprise security, along with the ability to integrate these technologies into robust CI/CD and platform engineering practices.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer, architect, and maintain the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform ecosystem, including Runtime Manager, API Manager, Exchange, CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, and MFT solutions, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable integration services.

• Lead platform governance by defining architecture standards, operational best practices, API governance policies, security controls, and reusable integration patterns aligned with enterprise requirements.

• Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize MuleSoft applications across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and operational excellence.

• Manage platform lifecycle activities including upgrades, patching, migrations, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, resiliency planning, and capacity optimization across cloud and enterprise environments.

• Collaborate with integration developers, enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, security teams, and business stakeholders to resolve complex issues, drive architectural decisions, and support enterprise integration initiatives.

• Implement and maintain security and compliance standards, including SSL/TLS, certificates, authentication, authorization, API security policies, risk management, and ITIL-aligned change and service management processes.

• Drive automation, DevOps adoption, API-led connectivity, and Center for Enablement (C4E) practices to improve platform efficiency, governance, standardization, and developer productivity.

• Provide 24x7 production support, participate in incident and problem management, create technical documentation, and communicate platform strategy, roadmap, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• 10+ years of IT experience with strong hands-on expertise in MuleSoft Administration, Enterprise Integration, Platform Operations, and Production Support, including the Anypoint Platform, Runtime Manager, API Manager, Exchange, CloudHub, and Runtime Fabric.

• Deep understanding of MuleSoft architecture, API-led connectivity, API lifecycle management, API governance, security policies, versioning, compliance, and Center for Enablement (C4E) best practices within enterprise environments.

• Proven experience defining and driving platform strategy, architecture roadmaps, technology standards, target-state architectures, and enterprise-wide integration governance, balancing business, operational, and technical requirements.

• Strong knowledge of CloudHub architecture, platform performance engineering, capacity planning, scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, resiliency, and multi-region deployment models.

• Expertise in networking, SSL/TLS, certificates, authentication, authorization, API security, load balancing, Linux/Unix and Windows administration, along with incident management and production support processes.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, scripting (Shell, Bash, Python, PowerShell), DevOps practices, and enterprise observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and AppDynamics.

• Strong understanding of ITIL-based change management, risk management, operational governance, compliance standards, and enterprise support frameworks in large-scale production environments.

• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with architects, security teams, infrastructure teams, executive stakeholders, and governance boards while providing technical direction and mentoring teams.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• MuleSoft Certified Administrator or other MuleSoft platform certifications, combined with experience in enterprise integration architectures, API lifecycle management, and API governance frameworks.

• Exposure to leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with an understanding of cloud-based integration and deployment models.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift in enterprise environments.

• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or similar solutions for platform health and performance monitoring.

• Knowledge of DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), enterprise messaging technologies, and large-scale production support environments, supported by a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Leadership and Stakeholder Expectations

The successful candidate will be expected to operate beyond day-to-day platform administration and implementation.

The role requires the ability to influence enterprise architecture decisions, establish governance and standards, shape platform strategy and roadmaps, optimize platform capacity and cost, and communicate technical recommendations and risks to senior and executive stakeholders.

The candidate should demonstrate a balance of strong technical depth, hands-on MuleSoft expertise, architecture thinking, governance discipline, operational ownership, and effective stakeholder engagement.
