The Role

In this role, you'll be the architect of exceptional service experiences, encompassing technical domains specified in our customer contracts - seamlessly bridging our customers’ needs with Kyndryl’s standard best practices.

Your role extends beyond the ordinary as you take the lead in guiding and mentoring our dedicated account teams. You'll empower them with the knowledge of best practices, from the initial survey stage through engagement, transition, and steady-state operations, ensuring that Kyndryl’s standards are demonstrated in every aspect of our service delivery.

You will work closely with Delivery Project Executives and account teams to determine resource allocation, select the right tools, define procedures, and establish security, privacy, and quality policies. Your expertise will be critical in evaluating risks and setting delivery times and conditions across a spectrum of scenarios, including major critical situation management. Together, you'll define Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and penalties, ensuring our commitment to excellence.

The heart of your role lies in collaboration, where you'll bridge the gap between support teams and customers, facilitating project and problem resolution. Your focus on technology and the application of your expertise in specific fields will be instrumental in sizing the right number of resources to fulfill the commitments made in our signed contracts.

As a SAP Transport and Release manager & CICD-SOLMAN,ALM your expertise extends to the validation of Service Delivery Plans, where you'll oversee parts planning, education, and service documentation, ensuring that all support kits are prepared. In addition, you'll be the collector of regional and geographic needs, including national language-specific requests, ensuring our services cater to the most granular requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate end-to-end SAP Release and Transport Management activities across the SAP landscape, ensuring smooth deployments through development, test, QA, pre-production, and production environments.

• Plan and maintain release calendars, deployment schedules, transport sequencing, dependencies, and deployment readiness, ensuring all prerequisites are completed before production releases.

• Coordinate closely with SAP Application Teams, SAP Basis/Platform Operations, Infrastructure Teams, and other stakeholders to execute releases and resolve deployment dependencies.

• Ensure compliance with established Change and Release Management processes, maintaining complete traceability between change requests, approvals, transport activities, release documentation, and production deployments.

• Utilize and manage release activities through SAP Cloud ALM (CALM), SAP Solution Manager, ChaRM, Rev-Trac, and ServiceNow, ensuring effective governance and operational control.

• Validate technical readiness, deployment plans, rollback procedures, and operational prerequisites while monitoring release execution during production deployment windows.

• Lead the identification, escalation, and resolution of transport, deployment, and post-release issues, while supporting stabilization and post-implementation verification activities.

• Maintain release reporting, risk tracking, stakeholder communications, and CAB governance participation, while driving continuous improvement, process automation, and operational efficiency within SAP Release Management practices.

Required Experience

• 8+ years of experience in SAP Release Management, SAP Change Management, SAP Basis, or SAP Platform Operations

• Strong experience with SAP Transport Management and release coordination

• Experience managing releases across complex SAP landscapes and multiple environments

• Strong understanding of SAP change, transport, and deployment lifecycle

• Experience coordinating SAP Basis, application, infrastructure, and project teams

• Experience with Change and Release Management processes in enterprise environments

• Experience working in complex, multi-team and multi-vendor environments

• Strong understanding of production readiness, rollback, deployment risk, and operational controls

Profile

Strong SAP operational background combined with excellent coordination, planning, and stakeholder management skills.

The candidate must be able to understand SAP transport dependencies and technical constraints while coordinating multiple application, platform, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.

The role requires a hybrid technical and coordination profile: sufficiently technical to understand SAP transports, landscape dependencies, deployment risks, and tooling, while being able to manage the end-to-end release process and ensure controlled, traceable, and predictable production deployments.
