The Opportunity
AI tools have made closing tickets cheap. This team wants the engineer who asks why the ticket exists and then builds the machinery so agents handle that whole category of work, from spotting the issue to resolving it. Within three months you should have a real workflow running on agents with nobody stepping in, plus data showing it now costs less, runs quicker or produces better results. You join a flat group of senior engineers, work side by side with the CTO and CEO, and get wide latitude to change how the company builds.
What You'll Own
Turn manual engineering and product workflows into automated systems that AI agents can run on their own
Build closed loops where production signals (errors, failures, anomalies) trigger agents to investigate and resolve issues automatically
Raise agent performance by giving them better context, tools and infrastructure
Keep event driven services and messaging reliable as the platform grows
Bring ideas to the table: spot what customers would value, push back when something doesn't make sense, and test new approaches before anyone asks
Keep leadership in the loop as you work, sharing progress and blockers early
What We're Looking For
5+ years as a software engineer, with your most recent role at an early stage startup where you owned outcomes
Production systems you've built with LLMs and AI agents, not only prototypes
Most of your code is already written by AI, and you spend your time designing the systems around it
Product sense and the confidence to propose ideas without waiting for direction
Clear, proactive communication in English, written and spoken, including with founders and executives
You stay curious under pressure: when a problem gets harder, you ask, rephrase and dig in
Nice to Have
Event driven architectures and messaging systems
AI powered test automation, internal tooling or developer productivity systems
You build in public: technical posts, side projects, open source or active technical discussions
Experience at a venture backed US startup
Tools and Stack
