Description
Within Specialty Product Management, the Director of Product Analysis (DPA) is responsible for leading and developing a team of Product Analysts responsible for assist our Specialty Product Directors in managing their respective lines of business countrywide. This role combines people leadership, analytical oversight, and strategic planning responsibilities. In addition to leading a team of analysts, this role has direct responsibility for managing the profitability, growth, and overall product performance of the Watercraft line of business, including development and execution of line-specific strategies and initiatives.
- Lead and develop a team of Product Analysts supporting Specialty lines of business, ensuring analytical rigor, talent development, and effective prioritization of resources.
- Acts as the functional leader for Product Analysis within Specialty, ensuring consistent analytical rigor, strategic insight generation, competitive intelligence, and business performance management across all Specialty lines of business.
Independently manage the profitability, growth, and strategic direction of the Watercraft line of business, including development and execution of product, pricing, underwriting, and distribution strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or other quantitative field. 6 years, typically 8 years or more relevant work experience, typically 8 years. Master's degree beneficial.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis software (e.g., SAS, Access).
- Must have good planning, organization, analytical, decision-making and communication skills.
- Experience directly managing others preferred.
- Excellent analytic, quantitative and problem-solving skills with proven ability to make and execute data driven decisions.
- Advanced knowledge of product offerings, business processes, product line systems, underwriting rules, pricing plans and databases.
- Strong understanding of insurance concepts and financial metrics.
