Remote: 8 days/month from the office in Cracow

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable microservices and REST APIs.

Deliver high-performance, highly available back-end solutions.

Build and operate cloud-native applications on Kubernetes and GCP.

Contribute to architecture decisions and technical roadmaps.

Optimize databases, integrations, and distributed systems.

Drive engineering best practices across CI/CD, security, and software quality.

Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Mentor developers and support technical delivery.

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience.

Strong Java development experience.

Experience with REST APIs, microservices, messaging systems (RabbitMQ or similar), and SQL databases.

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (preferably GCP).

Knowledge of NoSQL databases and distributed systems.

Experience with CI/CD and Agile delivery.

Understanding of scalability, performance, and high-availability architectures.

Banking or capital markets experience, ideally with trade lifecycle, post-trade processing, or FX products.

Nice to Have

Go or Rust.

ClickHouse or other analytical databases.

Front-end development experience.

API governance knowledge.

Experience with large-scale data processing environments.
