Veeva Vault Platform Integration Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Veeva Vault Platform Integration Engineer to join our Integration Center of Excellence (CoE). In this role, you will build and maintain robust integrations connecting Veeva Vault applications with each other and with broader enterprise systems, using MuleSoft as the primary integration platform.

You will work closely with internal architects and cross-functional teams, applying CoE-approved integration patterns (API-led connectivity, reusable error-handling, standard authentication) to deliver scalable, reliable, and GxP-compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Integration Development: Design and build integration flows in MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform) connecting Veeva Vault to other Vaults as well as upstream and downstream enterprise systems.
• Pattern-Based Architecture: Implement integrations following established CoE patterns (API-led connectivity, pub/sub, error handling, idempotency) rather than building ad-hoc, single-use solutions.
• Native Vault Connections: Configure and support native Veeva Vault-to-Vault (V2V) connections where applicable, in coordination with Configuration Specialists.
• Collaboration & Testing: Work from architectural specifications provided by Leads and Architects. Perform unit and integration testing, supporting QA and automation teams during E2E test cycles.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor production integration jobs, perform root-cause analysis (RCA) on failures, and drive defect resolution within agreed SLAs.
• GxP Documentation: Maintain technical documentation (interface specs, data mapping, error-handling matrices) to strict GxP-validated standards.
• Change Management: Provide technical input into ServiceNow Change Records and support integration impact assessments for tri-annual Veeva Vault release cycles.

Required Experience & Skills

Technical & Professional Must-Haves:

• Total IT Experience: 4-7 years in IT integration/engineering, with at least 2-3 years of hands-on MuleSoft / Anypoint Platform development (API design, connectors, deployment via CloudHub/RTF).
• Veeva Vault Knowledge: Working knowledge of Veeva Vault APIs (REST/SOAP), authentication mechanisms, and Vault object/metadata models.
• Integration Patterns: Solid understanding of API-led connectivity, pub/sub models, batch vs. real-time sync, idempotency, and retry/error-handling mechanisms.
• Regulated Environments (GxP): Experience building and maintaining integrations within a GxP-validated / regulated environment, with strong awareness of compliance requirements.
• Implementation Focus: Comfortable working from design specs produced by architects; strong in implementation, debugging, and operational troubleshooting.
• Agile & Delivery: Practical experience in Agile/Scrum delivery models using Jira.
• Communication: Strong spoken and written English skills for effective collaboration with global leads and team members.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to native Veeva Vault-to-Vault (V2V) connections.
• MuleSoft Certified Developer (MCD) certification (Level 1 or Level 2).
• Veeva Vault Platform Administrator Certification.
• Experience in a Life Sciences / Pharma Center of Excellence (CoE) or shared services team.
• Familiarity with API management and reusable connector/template libraries.

Key Deliverables
